An Artist with Business Training
I've studied and excelled in both the fields of Art and Business. A seemingly dramatically opposed mix, I can blend to two together to deliver superior work for you. I understand the web as a functional communication medium and I bring my artistic skills to bear to communicate the intended message to visitors.
My Business School training gives me a perspective not many creative types enjoy. If you are looking at this page, you are most likely a businessman, I can' speak your language, and I understand your goals. A website is a strategic asset used to further to goals of your company. By working together I can deliver you a website that is functional to your goals.
Its one of my strongest abilities, to mentally see beyond any one focused area. In very general terms I think in reference of complete systems interacting to function as a whole. In a more specific manner I am a top down thinker. I absorb relevant details and construct them into a larger whole.
What does this mean? It means I can oversee a project on a top down level, and never loose sight of the end goal, or its intended function despite working with heavily technical or detailed processes.
Creative is not just about being able to make a pretty picture, or interesting music. Creative is finding new and original solutions to problems, and thinking outside the box.
That being said, I can quite well create something pretty. However artistic merit in the business world needs to perform a function. Art is a subconscious communication medium. I can leverage my skill with artistic design and communication to bring real function to your projects. A website for example is more than just a series page, its a business asset used to further the goals of the company, and careful page design can augment its function in addition to the content of the site alone.
With my understanding of formal composition and artistic communication I can deliver a far superior experience than that of a programmer.
I am not one of the "Math is hard" type of people. I can analyze hard data for information and ID trends and occurrences.
I can use my logical knowledge of business strategy to assist you understand how a website fits into the strategic plan of your company.
My designs will be highly functional and targeted for a specific purpose.
I've had experience programming C++, Java, and visual basic. I have a functional understanding of simple coding processes. I am very able to work with programmers for more complicated development projects.
I am also willing and able to learn needed programming needed to complete my tasks.

Not only am I proficient with web design, but also computer network administration. I have knowledge from computer hardware maintenance and configuration to network operating system. I'm familiar with network hardware and how to set it up as well as configuration and maintenance of desktop computers.
